Thursday 18 & Friday 19 February 2021 - Online

The next Animal Welfare Seminar is “FELINE FUTURES: Exploring Humane Domestic Cat Management in Australia” and will be held on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 February 2021 (Two half days - afternoons only). Given the exceptional circumstances of 2020 and the continued uncertainty into 2021, the decision has been made to hold the seminar online.

In 2021, we will be exploring the future of humane domestic cat management in Australia.

Widespread humane and effective management of owned, unowned and semi-owned cats remains elusive, despite significant effort and investment of resources by some stakeholders to address the issue.

Are stricter laws the best solution or can we do more collectively through better communication and collaboration?

RSPCA’s Animal Welfare Seminar 2021 will bring together diverse stakeholders from government, industry, animal welfare, academia, cat owners/carers and the wider community to share knowledge and experiences to identify key challenges and opportunities to achieve more humane management of domestic cats.

Join the conversation at FELINE FUTURES: Exploring Humane Domestic Cat Management in Australia, on Thursday 18 February 2021 online!

Please note: presentations will be recorded and made available to all registrants after the seminar. If the indicated session times does not allow you to attend due to your time zone, you may still register and view all of the presentations later at your convenience.
